Vaunix LDA-908V-8 RF Variable Attenuator
The LDA-908V-8 from Vaunix is an 8-Channel Digital Attenuator that operates from 200 to 8000 MHz. It has 8 independently controlled attenuation paths which provide an attenuation range of 90 dB in 0.1 dB steps (minimum) and has a switching speed of 15 µs. This attenuator can handle an input power +23 dBm and has an insertion loss of less than 8.5 dB. It is easily programmable for fixed attenuation, swept attenuation ramps, and fading profiles.
The LDA-908V-8 has a USB port that uses a native HID interface to avoid the inherent difficulties in using older serial or IEEE-488 interfaces implemented over USB. Ethernet interface of the attenuator is password protected and configurable for Static IP or DHCP with the ability to assign the HTTP port for extra security. This attenuator can be configured on Windows or macOS GUI. It requires a DC supply of 5 V and consumes 95 mA of current. This 8-channel attenuator is available in a module that measures 9.50 x 1.97 x 0.86 inches and has SMA (female) connectors. It is ideal for Wi-Fi/Wi-Fi 6E, 3G, 4G, 5G, LTE, microwave radio fading simulators, engineering, production test labs, and automated test equipment (ATE) applications.

The LDA-908V-8 offers both USB and Ethernet interfaces. The USB port uses a native HID interface to avoid the difficulties inherent in using older serial or IEEE-488 interfaces implemented over USB. As a result, Lab Brick users can get to work faster without having to install kernel level drivers, and Lab Brick devices can be easily used on any system that supports USB HID devices, including low cost embedded computers using Linux or similar operating systems.
